No major shakeups for some of St. Clair County’s top elected offices following Tuesday’s election. Mat King, fending off a write in challenge from his primary opponent Warren Head, was re-elected to Sheriff. King won with nearly 83% of the vote with nearly all precincts reporting in the county. Judge Jennifer Deegan will remain on the bench, fending off a Probate Court challenge by Steven Heisler by a two-to-one margin. On the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners, lone democrat Lisa Beedon will keep her spot on the board, after a narrow district three challenge from republican Cliff Schrader.
