
Cynthia Broomfield has been promoted as Port Huron’s next Deputy City Manager to take the place of the retiring Nancy Winzer. She previously served as Downtown Development Authority Director and is currently Special Projects Coordinator and Chief of Staff. In a press release, Freed says Broomfield has been a “tremendous asset to the city” and highlighted many of her accomplishments over the years. Those include overseeing the installation of new wayfinding signage and the administration of 18-million dollars of COVID relief funds. Broomfield also previously served as interim village manager for the city of Lexington.
