The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a wrong-way crash near Casco Township. Deputies say a blue Dodge Charger was spotted driving east in the westbound lanes around 2:30 Friday morning, just before colliding head-on into a Ford Explorer near Church Road. The Driver of the Charger, a 28-year-old Harper Woods man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 32-year-old man from Flint who behind the wheel of the Explorer, was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. Westbound I-94 was shut down for several hours during the investigation. The Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Team is now working to determine the events that led up to the crash.
