Thumb to be blanketed with snow

About a foot of snow could fall between now and Tuesday morning in areas of St. Clair, Sanilac, and Huron Counties. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning with forecasters calling between 6 and 11 inches of snow, with higher totals expected along the Lake Huron shoreline and near the tip of the Thumb. The winter storm warning for St. Clair and Sanilac Counties expires at 5am Tuesday. The warning will remain in effect for Huron county until 4pm Tuesday.  Forecasters expect heavy snow accumulation, poor visibility, and hazardous travel conditions.
