Burtchville woman arraigned in Thanksgiving stabbing

A Burtchville Township woman is facing charges following a Thanksgiving Day stabbing.

Twenty-eight-year-old Taylor Spigner was arraigned Monday, December 1st in 72nd District Court on four charges, including attempted murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, assault with a dangerous weapon, and domestic violence.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office says the case began when a man arrived at Lake Huron Medical Center on Thanksgiving afternoon with a stab wound to the chest. He told deputies he had been attacked by his girlfriend, who he also said struck him in the head with a blunt object. He was treated and later released.

Deputies located and arrested Spigner at a home on Catawba Drive in Burtchville Township without any reported  incident.

Her bond was set at $250,000.

Spigner is scheduled to appear in court again  for a probable cause hearing on December 9th.
