A new Amtrak station opens up

The state’s fifth busiest Amtrak stop gets a new East Lansing station, located just off the fringes of the Michigan State University campus. The train started using the new capital area multi-mobile gateway Monday. The station also serves as a hub for inner city bus lines with expanded parking and an indoor waiting area. The building was finished in December however the moving of the Amtrak ticket office and station was delayed. The East Lansing train station lies along the blue water line connecting Chicago to Port Huron and points in between.
