Work is continuing this month on the intersection of Water Street and Military. Michigan Department of Transportation’s Jim Petronski says the work actually began last fall with preliminary inspections. The work involves realignment of the street lights and pavement work on the sidewalks at the intersection. It will also become a one-way going east, but will be accessible from both directions of Military. The $260,000 project also includes a rerouting of a section of Water Street east of Military and a change of parking on the stretch from angled to parallel. Petronski says the work is expected to wrap up by mid-May.
