Add some Romeo to your Valentine’s day card

Valentine’s Day is coming up soon. To make that Valentine extra special, thousands across the nation and from across the world will be sending their Valentine’s to Postmasters in cities with love-themed names. Here in Michigan, the city of Romeo postmarks an average of 4,000 valentines every year with some coming from as far away as Japan, France and Italy. The Romeo Postmaster, along with several others throughout the nation, will be offering special Valentine’s Day pictorial postmarks featuring the theme of Romeo and Juliet. If you want a special addition to your Valentine, Postmaster Alex Stubbs spoke on the Paul Miller Morning Show about how to receive a special postmark. Stubbs says to get the postmark enclose your stamped and addressed valentines in a larger envelope, and mail it to:Romeo and Juliette Valentine Cancellation Station, 119 church street, Romeo Michigan 48065. Get those Valentines sent out soon, to make sure they arrive by Sunday.
