With the latest wind storms into the weekend, hundreds of people were without power on Friday night. In Fort Gratiot Township however, where power outages have become the norm, for many the lights stayed on. Jorja Baldwin Fort Gratiot Township Supervisor says recent efforts by DTE have help with the townships power problems. She spoke on the Paul Miller Morning Show and says she’s seen tree triming trucks all over the township and so far, DTE has trimmed over 2,000 trees since January 11th, and has cut down close to 1,000 trees. She hopes that all work by DTE will be wrapped up by May.
If work is to be done on your property, Baldwin says you may see a note on your door. New DTE updates are available on the township website: fortgratiottwp.org. Baldwin notes that in the areas that have been done, have not suffered outages
