The winter weather returns

After seeing temperatures in the the mid-50’s last weekend, don’t think winter is over just yet, as a big winter storm is heading our way. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning taking effect Wednesday morning. The entire thumb area will be affected by the storm, in fact according to National Weather Service forecaster Mike Ricter, most of Michigan may be impacted. The storm will begin with rain on Wednesday, as temperatures will be above freezing for much of the day. 2 inches is expected by the afternoon turning into four inches by nightfall,then a couple more inches will be expected on Thursday in the Port Huron area. Snowfall amounts by Thursday could be near a foot in some parts of the thumb
