Community Foundation has been keeping busy in the new year

The Community Foundation’s grant making committee has had a busy year so far. The foundation has awarded over $600,000 already in only the first two months of 2016. Highlights include; $14,000 from the H&H Whiting Fund which will be used to support improvements to the St. Clair boat harbor; $10,000 from our Charles & Margaret Anderson Fund to support an upcoming project by the St. Clair Art Association; $20,000 to the St. Clair County Health Dept. for enhancements to their Early Childhood HUB program; and $17,500 for the Summer Employment Academy by RESA. The foundation is also getting ready to move into their new home at 500 Water in downtown Port Huron on March 4th.
