A busy night for city councils in Port Huron and Marysville. Regular meetings see several agenda items of note. For Port Huron the seven member board will be looking at a couple of million dollar totals in over a half dozen items including the repaving of the Municipal Office Center’s North Parking lot and the public parking lot along East Quay Street. Reconstruction of portions of Beers and Michigan Streets and rehabilitation of a sanitary pump station are included in those millions. Also on tap is accepting grants from the Community Foundation for recreational facilities and an agreement with Detroit Edison to convert all city street lights to the new LED technology. In Marysville meanwhile council will be looking at a contract extension for the City Manager, creating a new industrial development district, and hearing reports on the water and waste water plants. Marysville’s meeting gets underway at 7:30 p.m. while Port Huron’s session starts at 7:00.
