Freighters was decked out in shades of green Thursday as the United Way of St. Clair County helped celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Doug Dolph heads up the local United Way and says the annual event saw one of the largest crowds in recent years. Music was a highlight of the event along with a breakfast buffet. In addition to some of the in-house raffles held at the event the United Way is continuing to sell their Freighter Raffle tickets which sees two drawings for a trip for two people aboard a Great Lakes Freighter during this summer. The drawing for the nearly sold out tickets is set for April 28th.
