A fun festival will be returning soon, and it’s name is Suckerfest. The Weekend festival will begin on April 29th, in Adair, Michigan, all to raise money for the local Salvation Army. This will be the 14th year the festival has been taking place in Adair, Michigan. The festival has grown over the years, now people come from all across the state to take part in the weekend celebrations. It all began when the owner of the Adair Bar, John Slota, contacted the Salvation to see if they were in need of food supplies and cash. Along with the annual parade, which is unique to say the least, their are plenty of other activities planned for next weekend. They even crown Suckerfest Queen top the woman that has raised the most money donations. All proceeds from the event go to support the local Salvation Army. Last year, over $46,000 was raised through the Suckerfest parade and other activities. For more details about the parade, call Kurt Slota at: 810-329-3056.
