With the Blue Water convention center opening almost a year ago, accomplishments have been made for the center so far, says County Administrator Bill Kauffman. He talks about the future of the Blue Water Convention center, and how complications will turn into advantages. He explains that this last year has been a great opportunity to learn and understand the things they did right and wrong. Kauffman says that in the conventions centers first year it has booked more multi-day events than what he anticipated and has been very successful so far. Looking forward to his Retirement at the end of May, Bill Kauffman reflected on his accomplishments for the County, one he regards the Blue Water Convention Center as a great feat, with almost 48 events held last year. He regards it as the future of tourism for the county, and hopes to see it succeed more than it already has. Kauffman Anticipates that the 2016-2017 season will bring a lot of new exciting things to the Blue Water Area.
