The Detroit Red Wings ended a twelve game winless streak in Philadelphia, beating the Flyers 3-2 in shootout on Tuesday night. Andreas Athanasiou scored the game tying goal in the third period, and netted the lone goal in the shootout to lead the Wings to the victory. Tomas Tatar also had a goal in the game for Detroit, who return home on Thursday to play Vancouver.
