Both the St. Clair County Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams suffered losses on Monday night. The Lady Skippers dropped a 53-40 effort to Wayne State, to fall to (1-4) on the season. Carlie Thueme had 11, while Tamira McCoy-Motton finished with 10 points. The men fell 79-78 to Marygrove to slip to (2-3). Quintin Johnson led the Skippers with 19 points, while Darrin Mayo added 17, and Deshaun Kelley 15. Cord Dupree scored a game high 32 for the Mustangs.
