Michigan State earned its third straight win, knocking off Northwestern on Friday 61-52 in college basketball action. Alvin Ellis III led the Spartans with 16 points, while Cassius Winston scored 15, and Nick Ward 11. State will host Rutgers on Wednesday in East Lansing with a 6:30 PM tip.
