Austin Barlass broke a 3-3 tie with 4:40 to play in the third period, and Port Huron Northern went on to beat Marysville 5-3 in a high school hockey playoff game at Glacier Pointe on Thursday night.  Barlass scored by putting the puck through his own feet and then reaching behind his body with his stick to lift a shot just under the top bar, while cutting by the side of the Vikings net.  Corey Easton added two goals and two assists for Northern, including a short handed goal to ice the win with under three minutes to play.  Alex Walton also scored and earned two assists, and Noah McNutt had a goal for Northern, who play in the regional on Saturday at Suburban Ice Arena in Macomb.  Tyler Shoudy scored a pair of goals for Marysville, who also got a goal from Nolan Churchill.
