This is your classic ‘not all hero’s wear capes’ story.
If your house/apartment catches fire while you are under the roof, things can get scary. Usually you want to make sure your family and/or pets are safe, and then get out. But in South Dakota, a Sioux Falls man knew exactly where his priorities were.
His apartment was on fire (not sure yet what the cause was), and Michael Casteel knew that his beer was in trouble. After police told him to not go in, he rushed into the apartment to save his Bud Ice.
The good news is that he came out safe, along with his beer, also unharmed. The bad news is that he was arrested for obstructing firefighters, which I get. But come one, no one likes a warm beer. The dude just wanted to get it while it was cold, and ended up doing it safely!
I too love my beer (Bud Light, specifically). Would I go into a burning building? I would need to know a bit more. Is it Bud Light Lime? No, I would not. Bud Light Platinum? Would be hard to watch that burn away, if I’m being honest.
