For the second game in a row closer Francisco Rodriguez was unable to hold a lead, as the Tigers lost in Oakland on Sunday 8-6 on a walk off home run from Ryon Healy. Rodriguez came into the game with a 6-5 lead, but managed to get out only one of the four hitters he faced, allowing a walk and two hits. The Tigers lost two of three to the A’s, despite leading all three games in the series going into the bottom of the ninth. James McCann hit a two run home run to pace the Detroit attack. The Tigers are in Arizona on Tuesday to open a two game series with the D’backs.
