The Carolina Thunderbirds selected 12 players on Monday in the FHL expansion draft, including three from the Port Huron Prowlers. Forwards Daniel Chang, Scott Witmyer, and Tom Kilgore were all taken by the league’s newest team. Only St. Clair Shores and Cornwall failed to lose at least one player in the draft. Carolina is owned by Barry Soskin, who also owns the Prowlers and the Danville Dashers.
