A late rally fell short on Monday afternoon and the Detroit Tigers lost 7-6 to Kansas City in the first game of a three game series at Comerica Park. Nicholas Castellanos had a home run and knocked in four runs for the Tigers, who also got three hits each from Alex Presley (RBI) and Jeimer Candelario. Game two of the series is set for Tuesday night in Detroit.
