Rollover accident believed to be a result of drunk driving

An alcohol involved rollover accident in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township hospitalized one over the weekend. Authorities were called to Brockway Road near Galbraith Line Road around 11:30pm Saturday night. An investigation by sheriff’s deputies determined a 49 year old man from Melvin was traveling northbound on M-19 when he lost control and left the roadway. His 2002 GMC pickup truck rolled over one and a half time. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to McKenzie Hospital in Sandusky and charges are being sought as alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash.
