Sheriff’s office K-9 dies

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s office is mourning the loss of one of their K-9 unit dogs. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, Gunner, a 9 and a half year old Goldador died recently from cancer. He worked with the sheriff’s arson investigation team as an accelerate detector along with lieutenant Scott Braun. Gunner came to the Sheriff’s Office in 2010, funded by a grant from State Farm Insurance. He is responsible for investigating over 300 St. Clair County fires throughout his lifetime.
