One dead in plane crash

The name of the pilot who was killed in a plane crash yesterday morning in Kimball Township has been released. 51 year old Stephan Maisonneuve  of Ottawa, Ontario was flying his twin engine Cesna 340 early Thursday morning when he crashed just outside the St. Clair County International Airport. Sheriff’s deputies located Maysonovue’s plane around 1am near a softball field off on Yager Road, just east of Wadhams Road in Kimball Township. He was the lone occupant of the aircraft and was pronounced dead at the scene. Federal investigators are working to determine the cause.

Investigations are underway into a deadly plane crash in St. Clair County’s Kimball Township. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s department tells WPHM it happened around 1am when a small twin engine plane, believed to be coming from Canada, crashed near Yager and Wadhams roads, just west of the St. Clair County International Airport. One has died in the crash and federal investigators are in the process of investigating the incident.
