Rising gas prices take a reprieve

Michigan gas prices have fallen about a dime of the past week, that according to the latest Gas Price Brief by AAA of Michigan. The auto club says the current statewide average daily gas price is $2.80 per gallon, that’s down 11 cents from last week and 13 cents less than last year. Statewide, the cheapest gas in Michigan can be found in the Flint and Tri-Cities area where fuel is $2.71 on average, meanwhile the most expensive gasoline is in the Upper Peninsula, where pumps are still hovering around the $ 3 per-gallon mark. Locally, Port Huron Area Pumps are at $2.81 on average for a gallon of regular gasoline.
