Gas prices prices decline after long holiday weekend

Michigan gas prices have fallen about a dime over the past week, according to the latest gas price survey by AAA of Michigan. The auto club reports drivers are now paying on average $2.60 a gallon for a gallon of regular gasoline, which is 18 cents than this time last month and 26 cents less than this time last year. The most expensive fuel in the state can be found in Ann Arbor, and the cheapest gas is in Traverse City. Across the local area, pumps in Lapeer county are at $2.58 a gallon, while Sanilac and Macomb County pumps are $2.66, and St. Clair County gas prices are around $2.63 a gallon on average.
