There are plenty of local things to do and see in the Blue Water Area on this first weekend of autumn. Tomorrow in Fort Gratiot Township, it’s Scarecrow Saturday. It all takes place from 11am to 2pm at the Fort Gratiot Pond on Parker Road. There will be free pony rides, live entertainment, and a petting zoo. Parking is available at Meijer with tractor rides to and from the event. Beerfest returns to Port Huron tomorrow. The event, put on by Citizens for a vibrant community will feature over 200 craft beers available for sample. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Wolverine Market for $35 dollars or at the gate tomorrow for $40. Beerfest takes place at Kiefer park and runs 1 to 6pm. In St. Clair, vintage steam whistles come back to life this weekend for Whistles on the Water. The family friendly event runs from 9am to 4pm along the boardwalk in St. Clair and celebrates the steamships that used to prowl the great lakes.
