A sweep of registered sex offenders in the city of Port Huron has found nearly a dozen out of compliance with state law. According to Port Huron Police, authorities contacted all 287 registered sex offenders in the city earlier this week to confirm their address and other required information. Registered sex offenders must report to area law enforcement agencies when they move to a new address. Port Huron Police found 11 offenders to be violating this law and have forwarded their names to the prosecutor’s office.
