An early Thursday morning crash on M-25 in Burtchville Township has claimed the life of two. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies say a pickup truck was traveling northbound on Lakeshore around 6:30am Thursday. The pickup truck lost control on an icy bridge and crashed head on to a northbound vehicle. The pickup was operated by a 37 year old Burtchville Township woman and the other vehicle was driven by a 40 year old man from Lexington. A third vehicle was also involved, driven by an 80 year old from Fort Gratiot Township. The woman driving the truck as well as a male passenger also from Burtchville Township died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The Lexington and Fort Gratiot Township men were taken to area hospitals for treatment. M-25 was shut down Thursday morning for over two hours for investigations.
