The St. Clair County United Way’s 2019 campaign was just a few thousand dollars short of achieving their goal for the year. During a campaign celebration earlier this week, it was announced that the local non-profit raised $1.17 million, about 97% of their $1.2 million goal. Brent Gillette of the local United Way thanks those who participated in a last minute “flash campaign” to help the agency get closer to the finish line. “We knew we were struggling a little bit and made that last ditch push and raised $10,000 in one day,” Gillette told WPHM.  The United Way consists of 32 member agencies that support St. Clair County residents in four impact areas including youth skills, emergency services, education, and quality of life.
