One is recovering from a crash in Melvin Friday afternoon involving a vehicle and a utility pole. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies say a 54 year old Melvin man was traveling south on Washington Street when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a pole causing the vehicle to partially overturn. The man, identified as 54 year old Tim Eagle, was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. He was taken to a Lapeer area hospital for treatment. Sheriff’s deputies say they were assisted at the scene by Speaker Township fire and Marlette EMS crews. The crash remains under investigation.
