Today marks the official kick-off of the 2020 Census campaign in Michigan. Officials will gather in Lansing to highlight why it’s crucial that everyone in the state complete the census. Michigan Statewide 2020 Census Director Kerry Ebersole Singh says their goal is at least an 82-per cent completion rate. An accurate census count will determine how much funding Michigan communities will receive for essential services like public safety, health care, education, roads and infrastructure. It also determines the size of the state’s congressional and legislative districts. Fore more information, visit www.michigan.gov/census2020/
