Sanilac County announces first COVID-19 related death

A Sanilac County man in his sixties who was being treated for COVID-19 has died at a Port Huron hospital. According to the Sanilac County Health Department, the male was a resident of the Croswell-Lexington area and had been hospitalized at McLaren Port Huron. There are currently 7 confirmed cases of the disease among Sanilac County residents.

The St. Clair County Health Department announced Tuesday afternoon that there are 31 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. Of those confirmed case, five individuals have recovered from the disease. There have been no deaths of St. Clair County residents attributed to the virus as of Tuesday. Statewide, the current COVID-19 case count is at approximately 7500 with about 260 deaths.
