Blue Water area COVID-19 cases tick upwards

The number of positive Coronavirus cases in Michigan is approaching the 10,000 mark. Locally, the number of COVID-19 patients have also increased, albeit much smaller. As of Wednesday afternoon, there are 42 cases of the disease in St. Clair County. The St. Clair County Health Department says 8 of those have recovered. According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, there are 41 positive cases in the county. In Sanilac County there are 7 cases, in Lapeer County there are 8. The Metro Detroit counties of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb remain the epicenter of COVID-19 in Michigan. Those three counties are home to 80% of Michigan’s positive cases. Statewide, about 330 deaths have been attributed to the virus.
