Two Lapeer County men will be facing unarmed robbery and assault charges related to a dispute that occurred earlier this week. According to the Lapeer County Sheriff’s office, the suspects were playing video games with the alleged victims Tuesday afternoon at a Mayfield Township home. An argument ensued between the individuals, leading to a physical assault and the theft of a video game console. One of the victims, a 23 year old man, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The other victim, a 33 year old woman, had visible injuries but did not require medical treatment. The two suspects were apprehended by Sheriff’s deputies a short while later. 30 year old Kristofor Bowers from Lapeer and 25 year old Bryan Verran from Metamora were arraigned Tuesday afternoon. They were lodged in the Lapeer County Jail on $25,000 bond.
