Blue Water Area COVID-19 diagnoses, recoveries increase

The past 24 hours saw another uptick in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the region. According the St. Clair County Health Department there are 129 confirmed cases of the virus in the county. That’s up 15 people from Monday’s numbers and 87 people from this time last week. The health department say 38 of those who have tested positive for the disease have recovered. Three St. Clair County residents have died from the virus. Numbers also saw an uptick in surround areas as well. Sanilac County now has 17 cases and 2 deaths. Lapeer County has jumped to 56 positive cases and three deaths. The hardest areas remain to our south, with the Metro Detroit counties of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb accounting for 80% of Michigan’s now nearly 19,000 cases.
