Add a couple more events to what seems like the never ending list of cancellations. Marysville Mayor Wayne Pyden tells WPHM that the annual Summerfest will not be taking place this year. The festival was set to take place June 18th through 21st at Marysville Park. Pyden also says it’s possible that the Hot Wheels Weekend, scheduled for August, could also be canceled or postponed due to the pandemic. In Port Huron, the Friends of the Fort Gratiot Light Station announced the cancellation of Blue Water Sandfest. The event would have taken place the first week of August, with organizers saying it will return “bigger and better” next year.
