A Deckerville man is recovering from injuries sustained in an early Saturday morning crash near Carsonville. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department, a 53 year old man was traveling southbound on old M-51 near Washington Road in Washington Township. The driver reportedly swerved to miss a deer, crossing the center line, and entering a ditch. Sanilac EMS responded to the crash where the found the man’s vehicle overturned. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Sheriff’s deputies say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
