St. Clair County cases now exceed 300, Sanilac County holds steady

The number of confirmed people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in St. Clair County is now in excess of 300. The St. Clair County Health Department says 10 new cases were confirmed Wednesday, as well as 24 more patient recoveries. Two additional St. Clair County residents have died, and two more people have been hospitalized. That brings the total to 18 county-wide deaths, 198 recoveries, and 301 total cases.

Sanilac County’s numbers held steady once again. 32 people have tested positive and three people have died in Sanilac County. Lapeer County’s cases ticked upwards once again. Six new people tested positive and one additional person has died. That brings the total in Lapeer County now 154 cases and 23 fatalities. Statewide, nearly 1000 cases were confirmed in Michigan Wednesday. The total number of cases in the state is now nearly 34,000 people with just over 2800 deaths.
