Gas prices jump as demand increases

Michigan gas prices up over 30-cents a gallon over the past week. According to AAA of Michigan, the current statewide average is $1.84 a gallon. That’s 28-cents more than this time last month but still about a dollar less than this time last year. AAA says gas demand is starting to increase as the national and state economy begins to reopen for business. The most expensive Fuel in the state can be found in West Michigan, and the cheapest fuel for a change is in the Upper Peninsula. Blue Water Area pumps are asking on average $1.84 a gallon for regular unleaded.
